Senior Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Testing professional with experience in Java unit testing, API testing, performance testing, and automation frameworks. Must excel in Agile environments, SQL queries, defect tracking, and ensuring high-quality, scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in Software Testing.
• Methodical and process-oriented individual with a passion for software testing and delivering bug-free software.
• Should be well-versed in unit testing code in Java.
• Must be fluent with Web Services/REST API testing.
• Expertise in load testing, stress testing, and performance testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with the following tools ( RestAssured,JMeter, REST API testing tools like Postman, Cucumber)
• Must be fluent with Agile (Scrum) – Familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA or TFS is a big plus.
• Experience working on high-traffic and large-scale software products.
• Experience in the retail industry will be a plus.
• Adept knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience in testing API (SOAP & REST).
• Proficient in writing SQL queries.
• Creation of detailed test scripts.
• Able to identify and define data requirements.
• Experience in defect tracking and management processes and tools.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Excellence in maintaining automation test frameworks.
• Experience with BDD and TDD software development paradigms.
• Strong knowledge of any programming language.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, and a quick learner.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilties

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases to ensure software quality.
• Conduct unit testing in Java, API testing (REST/SOAP), and performance testing using tools like JMeter, Postman, and RestAssured.
• Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA or TFS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for backend validation.
• Ensure test data integrity and define data requirements for testing scenarios.
• Utilize BDD/TDD methodologies to enhance test coverage and software reliability.
• Communicate effectively with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to software quality.
• Adapt to changing priorities, work independently, and contribute to a team-oriented environment.
