CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC is looking for QA Engineer in Costa Rica with at least 6+ years of professional experience with software testing roles, with a focus on test automation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust automated test frameworks, focusing on efficiency
    and reusability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and QA, to identify
    and address software quality challenges.
  • Write, execute, and maintain test cases using Cucumber testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, unittest).
  • Utilize mocks to create and execute automated test scripts for web-based micro-service applications.
  • Analyze test results, debug issues, and drive defect resolution with development teams.
  • Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests.
  • Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure coverage of functional, regression, and performance testing.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members in test automation and quality assurance best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in software engineering or software testing roles, with a focus on test automation.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Java testing frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, pytest, unittest, or similar).
  • Demonstrated experience with Mock servers for automation and testing.
  • Prior experience in designing and building custom test frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Amazon AWS/GCP is required.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Gitlab or GitHub.
  • Knowledge of building tools like Terraform.
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
