Engineering Manager

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC is looking for Engineering Manager in Mexico with at least 7+ years of strong background in software development, system design, and architectural decision-making.and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira). Depending upon expertise, strong candidates may additionally be given further responsibilities. Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership: Provide hands-on technical guidance to engineering teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles.

• Engineering Execution: Drive the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability of software solutions.

• Team Management & Growth: Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into engineering deliverables. Present technical insights and project updates effectively.

• Agile & Delivery Excellence: Guide teams in Agile development, ensuring sprint planning, execution, and delivery align with business goals. Optimize engineering workflows for efficiency.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Act as a bridge between nearshore and onsite teams, ensuring seamless coordination, knowledge sharing, and alignment of engineering efforts.

• Process Improvement: Continuously analyze engineering processes and implement improvements to enhance team productivity and software quality.

• Risk & Issue Management: Identify technical challenges, mitigate risks, and proactively address bottlenecks to maintain delivery timelines.

• Technology Advocacy: Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies, driving innovation and technical excellence within the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.

• Strong background in software development, system design, and architectural decision-making.

• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (e.g., Jira).

• Excellent technical communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Experience managing engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work across cross-functional teams and drive technical initiatives.

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

• Fluency in English & Spanish.

• Preferred certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), or equivalent.
