Confiz is seeking a skilled Shopify App Engineer to join our product engineering team. This role focuses on building and maintaining custom Shopify applications, integrating third-party APIs, and developing scalable backend solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Shopify’s ecosystem, including custom app development, payment integrations, and subscription-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify apps using modern backend technologies (preferably Python).

  • Implement and manage API integrations with Shopify and third-party services.

  • Build and optimize subscription-based systems and auto-pay solutions.

  • Integrate and configure payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal, CyberSource etc.).

  • Customize Shopify storefronts using Liquid and tools like Shogun (nice to have).

  • Collaborate with analytics teams to support Google Analytics tracking and reporting.

  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of Shopify apps.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA engineers.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Shopify or in eCommerce application development.

  • Prior experience in building or maintaining Shopify apps in production environments.

  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or similar) is a plus.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
