Manager / Senior Manager – Accounting

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Manager / Senior Manager – Accounting to lead the accounting function for the Confiz Group. The ideal candidate will oversee the integrity and accuracy of financial records across all group entities, lead external audits, ensure tax compliance in multiple jurisdictions, and implement best-in-class accounting processes and controls.

This is a pivotal leadership role that requires a hands-on professional with strong technical accounting knowledge, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic, multi-entity environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records for all Confiz Group entities in accordance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
• Lead the consolidation of group financial statements.
• Review and finalize journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.

2. External Audit & Compliance

• Lead the end-to-end external audit process for all group entities, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
• Prepare audit schedules, address audit queries, and ensure timely completion of statutory audits.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all jurisdictions where Confiz operates.

3. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)

• Oversee corporate tax filings, withholding tax, VAT/Sales Tax, and other statutory obligations across multiple countries.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors and regulatory bodies to ensure timely and accurate compliance.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the group’s financial position and operations.

4. Process Improvement & Systems

• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline accounting workflows.
• Support the integration of ERP and accounting systems across entities.
• Implement best practices in accounting, reporting, and compliance.

5. Leadership & Collaboration

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate closely with FP&A, Treasury, and other finance sub-functions to ensure alignment.
• Partner with business teams on accounting implications of commercial decisions.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (CA / ACA / ACCA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• 7–10 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role leading accounting and external audit functions.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Proven experience in managing audits and taxation in multi-entity or multinational environments.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Business Central, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• High level of integrity, ownership, and attention to detail.
