We are seeking a Support Engineer with strong experience in .NET and ASP.NET to support, maintain, and enhance a business-critical platform. In addition, the engineer will be expected to learn and contribute to a second platform built using Java and React.js. Prior professional experience in Java or React is not mandatory; however, willingness and ability to learn these technologies is essential. This role is ideal for a technically strong .NET professional who is interested in expanding their skill set while working in a structured support environment with defined SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for the .NET / ASP.NET platform
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues in line with defined SLAs
- Perform bug fixes, minor enhancements, and performance improvements
- Participate in root cause analysis and preventive maintenance
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business and technical requirements
- Gradually onboard and contribute to a Java & React.js-based platform
- Maintain clear documentation for fixes, changes, and known issues
- Ensure system stability, reliability, and adherence to support processes
- Support "Service Level Agreements"
Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with .NET and ASP.NET
- Strong understanding of C#, application debugging, and issue resolution
- Experience supporting production applications
- Familiarity with SQL databases and basic query troubleshooting
- Good understanding of application support processes and SLAs
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to work within UK business hours (9am-6pm)
- Willingness to learn Java and React.js and support an additional platform over time
- Openness to working across multiple technologies and codebases
- Proactive approach to skill development and knowledge sharing
