Support Engineer (.Net)

We are seeking a Support Engineer with strong experience in .NET and ASP.NET to support, maintain, and enhance a business-critical platform. In addition, the engineer will be expected to learn and contribute to a second platform built using Java and React.js. Prior professional experience in Java or React is not mandatory; however, willingness and ability to learn these technologies is essential. This role is ideal for a technically strong .NET professional who is interested in expanding their skill set while working in a structured support environment with defined SLAs.

Responsibilities

 

  • Provide application support, maintenance, and enhancements for the .NET / ASP.NET platform
  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production issues in line with defined SLAs
  • Perform bug fixes, minor enhancements, and performance improvements
  • Participate in root cause analysis and preventive maintenance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand business and technical requirements
  • Gradually onboard and contribute to a Java & React.js-based platform
  • Maintain clear documentation for fixes, changes, and known issues
  • Ensure system stability, reliability, and adherence to support processes
  • Support "Service Level Agreements"

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with .NET and ASP.NET
  • Strong understanding of C#, application debugging, and issue resolution
  • Experience supporting production applications
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and basic query troubleshooting
  • Good understanding of application support processes and SLAs
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Willingness to work within UK business hours (9am-6pm)
  • Willingness to learn Java and React.js and support an additional platform over time
  • Openness to working across multiple technologies and codebases 
  • Proactive approach to skill development and knowledge sharing
