Associate/Data Architect

We are seeking a Technical Lead - Data Analytics with strong expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Fabric and Azure analytics services. The ideal candidate will bring deep hands-on experience across Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and PySpark, along with strong leadership and project delivery capabilities.

This role requires the ability to architect secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions, establish governance and quality standards, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver analytics and ML initiatives from design through production deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, secure, and high-performing data using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data services.
• Translate business requirements into technical architectures, data models, semantic models, and analytics frameworks.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of data solutions including:
• Data ingestion using Azure Data Factory
• Data transformation and processing using PySpark and Fabric/Synapse
• Data modeling and warehousing in Synapse / Fabric Lakehouse
• Analytics and visualization using Power BI
• Define and enforce data architecture principles, standards, and best practices across enterprise data platforms.
• Oversee and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Implement and maintain data governance, data quality, and security frameworks leveraging Azure and Fabric capabilities.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones for complex data initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding teams on architecture, design patterns, and implementation best practices.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt new Azure and Fabric features to improve platform scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, and analytics.
• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Engineering, Data Warehouse)
• Azure Synapse Analytics
• Azure Data Factory (ADF)
• Power BI (data modeling, DAX, semantic models)
• Proficiency in PySpark, Python, and SQL for large-scale data processing.
• Experience designing and delivering cloud-based data platforms on Azure.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ELT patterns, and real-time/batch processing.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, data quality, and security best practices in Azure.
• Demonstrated experience leading projects, managing stakeholders, and delivering complex data programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for enterprise data architectures.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
