Cyber Security Platform Engineer

Confiz is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Security Platform Engineer to design, implement, and support mission-critical security platforms across multi-cloud and multi-platform environments. This role requires minimal supervision and close collaboration with cross-functional teams including project managers, engineers, developers, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable security solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support secure platform configurations for enterprise security technologies, including EDR, CSPM, and Email Security, across AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI.
• Integrate security platforms with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native services to enable automated detection and remediation.
• Develop and maintain scripts to automate platform operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Author and contribute to project plans, engineering documentation, and detailed test plans.
• Partner with business and technology teams to deliver highly available, performant, and cost-effective security systems and services.
• Analyze platform metrics and continuously optimize configurations for effectiveness and efficiency.
• Support secure deployment of security platforms in containerized and virtualized environments.
• Create dashboards and reports to visualize platform health, performance, and overall security posture.
• Analyze logs, packet captures, security alerts, and forensic artifacts in alignment with security protocols and standards.
• Participate in an on-call rotation as required to support critical security services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Proven experience with cloud security, automation, and platform engineering.
• Experience supporting and operating enterprise security platforms such as Email Security, CSPM, EDR, SIEM/SOAR, Zero Trust, and encryption technologies.
• Advanced understanding of systems design principles and technical architectures, with a demonstrated track record of technology selection, implementation, and operational support.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong customer service orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized, responsive, and detail-oriented problem solver.
• Demonstrated work ethic, high energy, and a positive, proactive attitude.
• Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies and tools.
