Software Engineer - Level II

Confiz is seeking a Software Engineer II who will play a key role in bringing our vision to life. In this role, you will develop and optimize systems that support transportation execution across multiple applications and teams, including Merchandising, Inventory, Data Analytics, and other Supply Chain services. You will focus on streamlining processes, automating workflows, and standardizing transportation capabilities to drive efficiency and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Create frameworks to solve multiple business problems
• Responsible for leading design and architecture on projects, write great code
• Leads & inspires engineers within the team through design and execution
• Takes ownership of solutions, systems, or designs that span multiple teams' work, breaking work into smaller tasks for more junior engineers to support.
• Influences design within and across teams for projects by providing guidance on software design, development & industry best practices
• Diagnose and remedy performance or security issues
• Facilitates cross functional troubleshooting, root cause analysis
• Surfaces potential design or delivery conflicts in the current product cycle and makes recommendations on the best options.
• Demonstrates expertise in industry standards for secure development practices
• Expertise with telemetry solutions and products available in the industry
• Contributes to community projects and engineering standards
• Help mentor junior engineers

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of professional experience in practice area
• A deep proficiency of Java, additional languages such as Python is a plus.
• Experience in developing near real-time data processing solutions utilizing Kafka is a plus.
• Experience with integrations in/out of Financial planning systems (Anaplan, Oracle) a plus.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker
• Familiarity with Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with relational databases.
• Experience with RESTful architecture and micro-services.
• Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies and tooling.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
