Frontend Web Developer (React) – Design Systems

As a Frontend Web Developer (React) at Confiz, you will develop and maintain scalable, high-performance web applications using React. You will collaborate with designers and backend teams to build responsive, user-friendly interfaces while ensuring clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

Responsibilities:

  • 6+ years of experience in frontend/web development
  • Strong expertise in React and modern frontend frameworks
  • Proficient in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Solid understanding and have applied design tokens and theming strategies: Map Figma styles—specifically color, typography, and spacing—to CSS variables, SCSS, or Tailwind tokens.
  • Proven experience of building and maintaining design systems from scratch with Component & Variant Translation: Translate Figma components, including variants (hover, active, disabled states), into structured code (e.g., React props).
  • Ensure Responsive Behaviour: Interpret Auto Layout properties in Figma to implement CSS Flexbox or Grid layouts.
  • Asset Management: Export necessary icons and assets in optimized formats (SVG/PNG).
  • Accessibility Adherence: Verify contrast ratios (for normal text) and check for accessibility annotations.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and modern styling approaches (CSS-in-JS, styled components, etc.)
  • Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG, ARIA)
  • Experience with SEO standards
  • Experience with building high performance web application
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools and workflows (Vite, Webpack, CI/CD)
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience with monorepos or component libraries (Storybook)
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
  • Hands-on experience with Chakra UI or Material UI (MUI) (Nice to have)
  • Experience with Backend development on Nodejs is a Plus.
  • Experience designing multi-tier design token architectures (primitive, semantic, component-level)
  • Experience establishing component API design principles (prop contracts, composition patterns, slots, etc. )
  • Proven track record managing versioning, changelogs, release cadences, and communicating breaking changes to consuming teams
  • Experience creating and enforcing deprecation strategies for components and tokens
  • Dcumentation skills: component usage guidelines, do's and don'ts, code examples, and pattern guidance
  • Familiarity with documentation tooling
  • Experience working embedded with design teams
  • Familiarity with design-to-code workflows
  • Familiarity with AI tools
  • Experience building automated visual regression testing and component auditing processes
