Full Stack Developer - Level III

We are seeking a Full Stack Software Developer with experience accross JavaScript Platforms. As a Software Development Engineer on the Digital Origins team, you will guide the evolution and delivery of next generation of content creation and optimization tools. Your work will have a direct impact on how content gets onboarded from studios to how they are delivered to the various customer facing apps both on the web and mobile platforms across all of Nordstrom’s brands and editorial campaigns. You need to have a balance of technical and design skills to deliver compelling features. You will have the opportunity to impact the shopping experience for every single customer coming to our client and the client's website.

Responsibilities

• Producing well designed and testable code using industry best practices
• Leading the planning, forecasting and execution efforts for new project deliverables
• Ensuring quality and availability of software systems by applying best practices for monitoring and alerting best practices
• Mentoring and supporting junior engineers on their journey to level-up
• Cross collaborating with other teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment of team objectives and offerings

Skills:

• AEM Skills - Required 
• Strong NodeJS skills
• TypeScript - Familiarity (Nice to have)
• Javascript
• Strong Debug skills
• AWS knowledge
• Java knowledge
• Hands on AWS (EC2, redis, dynamodb)

Nice to Have

• Angular JS knowledge
• 5+ years of web development experience using front-end frameworks (Node.JS, AngularJS, , React)
• Experience with Java, Kubernetes, PHP
• 5+ years experience building and deploying software systems in cloud-based technologies (AWS - EC2, S3, Lambda, Redis, Elasticsearch)
• Mastery in front-end coding technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)
• Mastery in front-end frameworks (NodeJS, React)
• Experience with search engine and analytic technologies (Elasticsearch)
• Experience with designing and building APIs
• Demonstrable experience owning and operating business critical system servicing internal and external customers
• Pragmatism. You can prioritize, simplify, and make a path toward results and not dwell on perfection
• Proactive mindset. Seeking the best solution for the company and the customer, taking action without being directed

Education: B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or comparable experience
