Jr. Associate MLOps Engineer - (Python/GCP/Vertex AI)

CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC is looking for a Associate MLOps Engineer (Python/GCP/Vertex AI) in Mexico with at least 1–3 years of professional experience in MLOps, DevOps, or related domains.

This role is ideal for early-career engineers who are passionate about machine learning operations, cloud technologies, and building scalable systems to support model development and deployment. You will work closely with data scientists and engineering teams to enable efficient ML workflows and deliver high-impact solutions. Depending upon expertise, strong candidates may additionally be given further responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation tools for ML workflow orchestration and model deployment using CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy, schedule, and manage machine learning models using GCP services, including Vertex AI pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in Python and other programming languages (e.g., Go, Java).
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to ML workflows, deployments, and production systems.
• Develop and maintain reporting pipelines using tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Tableau.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists to improve development workflows and enable seamless integration of ML models into production environments.
• Support model monitoring, scaling, and performance optimization in production systems.
• Follow best practices for security, compliance, and data protection in cloud and containerized environments.
• Participate in team meetings, standups, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment and delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and system reliability.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in MLOps, DevOps, or a related engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with GCP, particularly Vertex AI or similar platforms such as Amazon SageMaker.
• Experience with ML model deployment, scheduling, and monitoring in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is a plus.
• Basic experience with reporting and analytics tools such as BigQuery, Looker, Tableau, or SQL.
• Understanding of software development best practices, including unit testing and integration testing.
• Familiarity with security best practices in cloud-based and containerized environments.
• Exposure to eCommerce or digital product environments is a plus.
• Passion for leveraging GenAI tools to automate processes and improve efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including data scientists and engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
