Software Engineer - Java/Springboot

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Java Backend Engineer with 2–3 years of experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have strong backend development skills using Java and Spring Boot, along with a basic understanding of frontend technologies (preferably Angular). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, high-quality web applications.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Build and consume RESTful APIs to support web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to deliver features.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for secure and scalable development.
  • Support deployment processes and work with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to system design discussions and technical improvements.

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
  • Good understanding of Core Java concepts, OOP, and design principles.
  • Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Basic understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of authentication/authorization (e.g. OAuth2, WSO2).
  • Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.
  • Basic working knowledge of Angular (v10+), TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Understanding of API integration from frontend applications.
  • Exposure to Docker and containerization.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Awareness of messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
