Full Stack Level II - React, Node, TypeScript, JavaScript (Remote in Mexico)

We are seeking a talented Full Stack Engineer II to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-quality web applications that deliver exceptional digital experiences. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience building modern frontend applications with React, Node.js, and TypeScript while developing robust backend services, RESTful APIs, and cloud-native solutions. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy solving complex technical challenges, collaborating across teams, and contributing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality full stack applications using modern engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with local and global engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives.
  • Develop scalable RESTful APIs and event-driven services using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Build responsive and reusable frontend components using React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Design, develop, and maintain cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
  • Translate business requirements, technical designs, and wireframes into high-quality, maintainable code.
  • Write clean, secure, well-documented, and testable code following engineering standards.
  • Design and implement automated unit, integration, functional, and end-to-end testing.
  • Perform code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices across the team.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Create monitoring dashboards, metrics, alerts, and logging to improve system observability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, and DevOps.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical discussions and design reviews.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
  • 3–5 years of experience building event-driven applications.
  • Strong experience with:
    • Node.js
    • TypeScript
    • React
    • JavaScript (ES6+)
    • Redux
  • Solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals, object-oriented programming, design patterns, algorithms, and data modeling.
  • Experience designing and developing distributed applications and microservices.
  • Experience working with at least one object-oriented programming language such as:
    • Java
    • Go (Golang)
    • .NET
  • Experience with AWS cloud services such as:
    • Kubernetes (EKS)
    • Lambda
    • DynamoDB
    • ElastiCache (Redis)
    • CloudFormation
  • Experience working with Docker and Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience implementing automated testing strategies.
  • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as:
    • New Relic
    • Splunk
  • Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Passion for software engineering, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS.
  • Experience designing scalable event-driven architectures.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience contributing to architecture and technical design discussions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
